Spring Cleaning Guide Pt. 3 | Dining Area

When you think of spring cleaning, your dining area probably doesn’t cross your mind in too much detail. However, there are tons of things in that part of your home that deserve a once-over. So, here is part three of our spring cleaning guide targeting your dining room!

Dust

Its always a good idea to start your cleaning efforts with a good dusting. Start at the top and dust your crown moldings (if you have them), light fixtures, and ceiling fans with a damp microfiber cloth. Work your way down the space and tackle door moldings, window sills, and even the baseboards. This simple act alone will give your home a super fresh feeling.

Clean Windows

You can really make your dining area shine with windows that do just that. Check out part one of our spring cleaning guide for tips on how to get your windows in tip-top shape for warm weather. You can also contact a window washing company at 702.274.8128 to manage this step for you.

Clean Grout

If you have tile floors, your grout is likely look dingy from all the time you’ve spent entertaining indoors this winter. You can get the grout in your dining area looking like new again by following these steps:

  1. Use a bleach pen to apply a thin line of bleach to the grout and let it set for about 10 minutes. It’s okay to do this if you have colored grout; the bleach pen is mild enough that it won’t lift the color from your grout.
  2. Use a sponge to wipe up the bleach. You can knock out two birds with one stone by wiping the bleach around to clean the entire floor. Just remember to rinse well. Having a bucket of warm water on hand will be helpful.

Good luck and happy cleaning!
