Spring Cleaning Guide Pt. 2 | Bathrooms

Last week we started a series, the Spring Cleaning Guide to help you prepare your home for the warmer weather that is already upon us. Naturally, we started with the windows so you can enjoy all the bright sunshine that we have pouring into the valley right now.

In part two of this spring cleaning guide, we’re showing you how to get your bathrooms springtime fresh!

Things You’ll Need:

Spring Clean Your Bathroom

Step 1 | Mix the baking soda and lemon juice into a paste about the consistency of pancake batter. You can use water if you must, but the lemon juice is a great deodorizer and disinfectant. It’s perfect for that springtime freshness you’re looking for.

Step 2 | Apply the mixture over the toilet seat and along the base of the toilet where it meets the floor. Essentially, the goal is to target any area that could be causing that dirty bathroom smell everyone is embarrassed about. Allow the mixture to sit for about 15 minutes.

Step 3 | Fill a spray bottle with white vinegar and spray the dried paste with it. Wait until the mixture stops fizzing then wipe the area clean with the damp rag. For good measure, also wipe the walls around the toilet just in case there have been any splashes that can leave a residual odor.

There ya have it; lemony fresh! In case you missed it, make sure you check out part one of the J&J Window Wash Spring Cleaning Guide.
