Your belongings have been packed into boxes, those boxes have been loaded into the moving vehicle and you are tired. The last thing that you want to think about is doing the move-out cleaning. If you are a renter, you know that this is the way to get your security deposit back. You could choose not to do it, but you would forfeit your deposit. If you just sold your home, you do not have a per se obligation to clean up, but think about how you are expecting your new home to be—consider the golden rule here. One thing that can make the cleaning process a little easier to have a checklist to follow. Assign each person a room and give them a copy of the checklist and you will be done in now time. Here is a checklist for the living areas and outside areas. Stay tuned for our previous blog post for the kitchen and bathrooms.
