Spring Cleaning Guide Pt. 1 | Windows



Living in the desert is a wonderful thing because, in mid-February, the weather here is already exhibiting springtime tendencies. Of course, that means it’s time to get SPRING CLEANING!

After being cooped up inside for a couple of months, it’s time to open your doors and windows and clean away the cobwebs. Because of the mild temperatures, we think the best place to start is with a good window cleaning!

Spring is the perfect time to clean your windows because the sun isn’t so direct and hot that you get unwanted streaks. So, here are a few tips to get perfect streak-free windows you’ll be able to enjoy all season!

Spring Clean Your Windows

  1. Use one rag to wipe down the entire window with soapy water.
  2. Starting in the top left corner, pull the squeegee down the length of the window. When you get to the bottom of the window, wipe off the squeegee blade with the dry towel.
  3. Repeat step 2 until the window is cleaned, overlapping the squeegee a little with the cleaned area to help prevent streaks.
  4. Buff the window to prevent streaks or water spots with the dry towel.
  5. Wipe all the water that’s collected on the windowsill and in the window track with the soapy towel.

Once the inside of your windows are cleaned, you’ll probably notice how not clean the outside of your windows are. If you are able, repeat the above spring cleaning tips outside.
